DonRocks
Does anyone know of a "maid-type" service that will come over to your home and do laundry and ironing? And if they can clean the house while they wait for the cycles to finish, so much the better, although as far as I'm concerned, they can sit around and read a book or do homework. My maid is very nice, but she doesn't do laundry, and that's 75% of what I need done.I'm really, really good at getting the clothes in the washing machine.I'm much less good at transferring the clothes from the washer to the dryer. And I'm a complete invalid when it comes to getting the clothes ironed and folded. The time has come to admit it, and to bite the bullet.(Arlington area.) --- [The following responses were split into separate threads: Arlington Laundrymat (DonRocks)]
starfish
Not sure if cash is a factor for you, but I have found that a wash-dry-fold service is a more cost-friendly option. Sure you have to schlep all of your clothes to them and come back and pick them up, but I find that 40 minute sacrifice to be a good expenditure of time. beachgirl54
To that end, I have used the wash and fold next to Mr. Wash on Glebe Road - did all my sheets and towels there because I hate doing them (folding, specifically). It was 99 cents a pound and worth every penny to me at the time.
bookluvingbabe
We don't pay for it often but there is nothing better than the wash and fold service at the local laundromat.
