jparrott
I had never had burrata until Aldo slipped me some several years ago at Dean & Deluca. Truffled burrata. He'd hand-carried it back from Piemonte. Cin-cin, my brother.

ScotteeM
My husband and I will really miss Aldo Molina, as will many others. He was a really great cheesemonger. He worked the last 9 years at Arrowine, and before that he was at Dean & Deluca in Georgetown, where my husband first met him. Even though I only visited Arrowine occasionally, Aldo would always ask after me when my husband made his regular visits. He always picked cheeses for us that we loved. He knew them very well. Tujague
Cheers, Joyce Redman. In your memory, may we all reenact the dinner scene from Tom Jones with the one for whom we lust.
Pat
Louise Morgal, Long time Eastern Market (outdoor) produce vendor, 89 She was so funny. Occasionally she'd tell me colorful anecdotes out of the blue. I'd still been seeing her outside on the weekends until fairly recently. She was always at the South end of the farmers' line, sitting in her chair, chatting and quipping. It's hard to imagine she'd been coming there for 50 years. Pat
Maria Calomiris passed away on Monday. I knew she had been ill, but I'd still been seeing her at her produce stand at Eastern Market until very recently, though she was only around sporadically.
